A little artist statement and bio | In this group of miniatures, I have turned my attention to everyday (but special) pieces of ceramics and glassware from my home. I particularly enjoyed placing the colourful objects in a way where negative space between both the objects themselves and the shadows which the objects cast, are equally important. The birds which have fleeting landed on the objects, are loved visitors to my country garden. These miniatures have been created using graphite, gouache, coloured pencil (my favourite medium), watercolour and ink. Each miniature has an accompanying story on the back of the frame.
