Paintings and Ceramics coming to GOST
Reintroducing and Introducing respectively, Hamish Bassett and Kiata Mason to Canberra audiences.
Hamish Bassett is a ceramicist and more popularly known for Tiny Pots Melbourne. With nearly 188K followers on Instagram his tiny pots, mugs and tea sets have proven to be popular with Australian and overseas audiences. Hamish was invited to be in a group show, 8 | Connections in 2024 and I’m thrilled to have him in first duo show with Painter Kiata Mason from Lake Cathie, NSW..
Kiata is a long established artist who’s CV reflects a dedicated commitment to Australian Arts. Watch the short YouTube video to get a glimpse of Kiata’s studio, the objects from her home and how the sitter in a portrait is a small part of a much larger painting but equally as important in the surrounds they sit within. It’s a lovely video and Maria brings out the best in many Painters across Australia.
GOST is thrilled both artists accepted an invitation to show their artworks and we know you will fall in love with the objects/books within the paintings and the miniature ceramic tea sets on the shelves.
