We are thrilled to have Emerging Artist and recent ANU School of Art + Design graduate Greta Cooper return and join GOST. You may remember Greta’s work which featured as part of EASS2021 in May / June last year. Greta was one of 5 artists in a group show and her birds resonated with many of our visitors.

Greta has created a developing series of birdlife and we are lucky to have 6 for GOST. They include the: Superb Fairy-wren, Rose Robin, Yellow Thornbill, Eastern Spinebill, New Holland Honeyeater and the Weebill. Greta tells us a little more:

“ … I have taken inspiration for this ongoing series from the Australian bush where I spend my time walking and/or birdwatching. The leaves and other plant matter I have collected from Canberra, and the birds I have chosen to illustrate, are commonly seen in my hometown on the South Coast of New South Wales … “.
