We are thrilled to have Canberra based visual artist Jodie Cunningham join GOST. She is is the last Feature Artist for 2021 which means GOST has been able to bring on 9 new artists in the past 18 months which is a huge achievement.

Jodie has created a series for GOST which means a sweet collection of small, alumininum prints ready to hang. The series 2020 - 2021 Canberra Turnaround - Wildflowers and Bush Capital has names such as Wattle & Yam Daisy, Mugga Mugga and Majura. which makes it all so curious as to what they mean. Jodie explains:

“ … I’ve created a series of images using geometric forms referencing the parliamentary flagpole as a symbol for Canberra and coloured with a palette derived from diverse Canberra Wildflowers. I focus on the joy and hope that comes from finding exquisite wildflowers on my daily walks … It’s also been the best wildflower season Canberra has seen. “
