Summer news | February 2026

Mason & Bassett | Paintings & Ceramics

In case you missed our January news, we have a new Exhibitions Program for 2026.
I’m thrilled this week we are opening the doors (after a long summer break) to present small paintings and tiny tea sets in Australia’s tiniest art gallery! It’s exciting to have Hamish Bassett return to our gallery and introduce Canberra audiences to Kiata Mason.

While you are reading this, I’ll be installing the show ready to go live at
11am, Thursday 5 February online and in person.
If you do visit our exhibitions page, please remember to hit refresh so the ‘shop the exhibition now’ button can be activated. I hope the Internet gods behave so please bear with me if any slight delays.

Save the Dates | A group exhibition | Art in Miniature (AIM)

From 5 - 16 March, our next exhibition will be a lovely group who I’ve had the pleasure of opening their previous shows in Canberra and Cooma. Their ethos of being a friendship group aligns with GOST’s ethos of community, inclusion and a love of creating.

It’s been a joy to meet with Margaret Brice and Michaela Laurie from Art in Miniature to plan this show. I’m grateful AIM members have created new works after their recent successful show at the Australian National Botanical Gardens, Canberra.

Without revealing too much … keep an eye out on social media and our next newsletter dropping 3 March to find out more about the artworks coming our way.

Online Shop | Stockroom

In 2026, as GOST transitions to a new program, Anne has selected a range of popular artworks for those that will miss their weekly visit. The shop is smaller, similar to that of a stockroom and is available online 24/7. When you check out all you have to do is choose either click and collect (for locals) or shipping.
Anne will contact you to make arrangements according.

Any questions big or small please contact her.

Love GOST! We welcome reviews to help visitors locally, interstate and overseas to visit us as one of many gems in Canberra. Your positive feedback also helps us (and many tourist operators) when being assessed for arts / tourism opportunities. You can choose Tripadvisor, Facebook or Google.
