Fave 9 Lockdowns #2 | Postpone Package | Prize Finalists

Faves lockdown #2 | Click & Collect | Click & Deliver

As most of you know, we are currently in lockdown till 17 September.
GOST hopes to reopen Saturday 18 September pending ACT Government advice.
In the meantime, our Lockdown Faves for August was such a hit, I decided to run it again for September.

We have some lovely artworks by artists in lockdown Canberra, Sydney and rural NSW. It means so much to my artists and I to have had our loyal customers return as well as new ones who have recently been using our new service.

We have a free Click & Collect and a free Click & Delivery for Canberra people. Everyone else outside of Canberra can still use Australia Post. For more info click on Learn More or simply head to the Shop and choose the options at checkout. Feel free to contact me if you have any issues, best Anne xx

Great things come to those that wait ....

A little pun to soften the announcement that our wonderful
Great things come in little packages
has been postponed.

We decided this for various reasons. It was becoming clearer that Grace, who is based in Melbourne, was going nowhere due to continued lockdowns. I truly believe it's important to look after our artists during uncertain times. Trying to make a new normal when the goalposts keep moving has certainly kept us all on our toes.

I'm incredibly grateful Grace has been so kind to let us propose new dates in 2022. So diarise 11-13 February 2022 and hopefully everyone can travel safely.

I would also like to thank our collaborators Little National Hotel and Lake George Winery as well as Threesides Marketing and the ACT Government for their continued support. This has certainly been a long-term project ... two years in the making.

But I have a good feeling it's going to be
worth the wait! Thanks xx

More finalists who deserve a shout out!

We are feeling very proud of GOST artists who have become a finalist in Awards/Prizes within Australia. While I can't list them all, the following are two artists who recently found out in the past week of their achievements.

Congratulations to Tapestry artist Lee Leibrandt who was shortlisted in the Irene Davies Emerging Artist Award for Small Tapestries. This is one of five in a series Lee has created and " ... informed by a magazine collage created during quarantine and lockdown last year ... ". Painter Lynne Flemons was shortlisted as one of 47 artists (out of 407 applicants) with Urban Foray, Soft City for the Calleen Art Award 2021.
