A little Artist Statement about this painting | Unable to sleep after receiving difficult news from home, I followed a quiet inner voice up a hill overlooking the village. As I turned a bend, a scattering of sunflowers appeared, then a field, then endless fields. What began as a morning of loss slowly opened into one of abundance and possibility.
