A little Artist Statement about this painting | Winter’s gentle start took a sudden turn as a snowstorm set in, cutting our day trip to Chaumont short. By the time we returned, Orquevaux was already under a blanket of snow. Wanting to capture the moment, I worked quickly in the heavy snowfall before retreating to the warmth of the Château.
