A little Artist Statement about this painting | At my local boulangerie, I bought this little present for myself after finishing my first painting for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. I had been eyeing this precious work of art in the window for weeks, saving it for a special occasion. It was almost too pretty to eat - but I soon got over that!
