Medium black powdercoated pendant with orange and rust linen wings with black tips and 2 strips of black linen at end of wings. On thin silk cord with round bead. Image with coiled neck cord.

Size | Bird only - 14.5 × 10 × 0.5 cm. With neck cord 42 cm long.

Artist Statement | Clarity of flight series

This series draws on jewellery traditions that use bird motifs as cultural symbols. Inspired by superb fairy‑wrens, eastern rosellas and rainbow lorikeets, the works explore how flight reframes perspective. Watching birds sweep past my windows gently reminds me to lift my gaze to the wider landscape of possibility that new perspectives afford me.
