Large black powdercoated bird pendant necklace. Bright green wings with black stripe near end of wings. Pile cut to a curve at the end. Beaded necklace of square beads.

Size | Bird only 19 × 12 × 0.6 cm. With beaded necklace 34 cm.

Artist Statement | Clarity of flight series

This series draws on jewellery traditions that use bird motifs as cultural symbols. Inspired by superb fairy‑wrens, eastern rosellas and rainbow lorikeets, the works explore how flight reframes perspective. Watching birds sweep past my windows gently reminds me to lift my gaze to the wider landscape of possibility that new perspectives afford me.
