We are pleased to welcome Vicki Grima to GOST. I’ve known Vicki when I first went to Art School in Canberra. I met her in her dual role as Executive Officer and Editor of The Journal of Australian Ceramics. She has been my #1 supporter of my practice and when I opened GOST. We’ve shared many moments over lunch and the last one was to celebrate her Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the Visual Arts, particularly in ceramics. She’s just fabulous!

A little bit more from Vicki: My ceramic jewellery is made using a mid-fire porcelain (Lumina), then bisque to 980°C. After bisque firing, I apply a black iron oxide then a clear gloss glaze is applied and the works are then fired to 1220°C. The gold lustre dots and lines are applied using a very fine writing tool or brush and the works are fired a third time to 780°C.
