A little statement about the art from Lisa | Inspired by the intricate forms and organic rhythms of coral, these kiln-formed glass Sculptures explore the relationship between colour, light and texture. Each piece is individually crafted in my Canberra studio, with layered glass creating depth, translucency and subtle variations in colour. Both sculptural and functional, the bowls capture the delicate beauty of the natural world, bringing a little of its complexity and quiet wonder into the home. No two pieces are exactly alike.

This body work was inspired by a recent tour of Central Australia, with a particular focus on the dramatic colours and light experienced in this unique environment. I was captivated by the graphic lines defining the landscape as strong shadows are cast and the red earth and rock is illuminated, particularly during sunrise and sunset.
