MICHAETT, is a high couture hat label originating from one of Europe’s prettiest cities - Prague. Milliner Michaela Seabrook is the designer and maker of MICHAETT and has recently moved to Canberra to continue her fine arts practice. My label impresses through its expressive contemporary ideas and savoir-faire related to a deep Czech millinery heritage.
Her hat line, Modest, consists of handcrafted headpieces designed and made with superior quality materials and hand stitched precision. Each bespoke hat is monogrammed with Michaett’s AE making them chic for the wearer. The label’s advanced design, as an all embracing response to quotidian needs and customs, cultivates both the classic casual or cocktail feminine look with a modern sense of purpose that brings an unexpected utility.
Michaela studied under the renowned milliner Hana Hniličková during her time in Prague. The passing of skills and knowledge allowed Michaela a promising future in contemporary fashion of hat making. She inherited precious traditional millnery tools and wooden blocks from her grandmother. To this day, she continues the tradition of shaping each hat creating a timeless accessory for women to wear for special occasions and everyday.
