Each set consists of a tray and then variations. There are different patterned cups, mugs, vases, sugar bowls and teapots. When you click on the number and title in the drop down list, the image of that set will be the main image. There is only one image per set.
Hamish Bassett is a Melbourne based artists who makes tiny ceramic objects. The same skill to throw say a teapot with lid is required when he creates on his miniature pottery wheel. Each piece is crafted by hand and meticulously glazed with patterns and colours. The beauty in each piece is the detail which makes it clear you are looking at a vase, mug, cup, teapot, sugar bowl but in the tiniest of sizes. The titles of the artworks are also as poetic as his creations. Anne Masters, Gallery Director, GOST
Hamish’s artist statement and bio tells you more about his tiny ceramics for this show and a little about himself.
