Homage to the bird | 26 September to 18 October 2026

Save the dates! Our annual Spring show opens Saturday 26 September online and in person at 11am.
I’m pleased to announce eight artists outside of Canberra were invited to
respond to a theme of their homage to birdlife.

Artists Shannon Garson and Fiona Hiscock (Ceramics), Jane Guthleben and Greg Oakley (Painting),
Martin King (Print), Vicki Mason (Jeweller), Tom Moore (Glass) and Colleen Southwell (Paper)
have each created a small series of works for GOST.

Our show is timed perfectly for an additional visit to Floriade - Canberra’s biggest celebration of Spring.

The show will be open 7 days a week, 11-4 and by appointment.
If you can’t make it during the hours, contact Anne who can organise a time before or 11am or after 4pm. We also can open for anyone who needs a quiet space, no music, low lights and be sensory friendly.

A little getaway | Pambula, NSW, Australia

Recently, Adam and I went to Pambula - a small town filled with hidden gems. It’s an easy 3hr drive down Brown Mountain from Canberra. First stop is coffee/tea and donuts for family at Nimmatabel Bakery. Two nights with fam and two nights at Pambula.

We check out a sweet gallery and Adam eagerly makes a purchase. Then home to have our sweet treats from Wild Ryes in our cute accommodation. Adam lights the fire, books come out and we settle in for a quiet evening of red wine, a vension salami from the local Butcher and cheese platter.

Next day, we check out the shops and Adam spies a record shop in a vintage emporium. I catch up with Megan who owns Goldfinch and we chat all things fashion, running a small business and university studies. We head home as our goal was to simply read next to the fire and be tech free!

Later we go for a walk around the rehabilitated Panboola Wetlands. I highly recommend this reserve for seeing birdlife being cared for by volunteers in their natural environment.

Love GOST! We welcome reviews to help visitors locally, interstate and overseas to visit us as one of many gems in Canberra. Your positive feedback also helps us (and many tourist operators) when being assessed for arts / tourism opportunities. You can choose Tripadvisor, Facebook or Google.
