A Very Merry Christmas | open now for our subscribers
For the first time, I thought I’d let our subscribers get early access to A Very Merry Christmas show!
This year we have a new lineup of interstate artists who I’ve been wanting to introduce to Canberra audiences (in some case reintroduce).
Tamsin Ainslie, Ginny Lagos and Lucy Ings (Ceramics)
Fiona Chandler, Sally Browne and Simon Palmer(Paintings)
Cleo Higgins (Jewellery)
Lisa Cahill (Glass)
Gwyneth Macnamara (Textile Designer)
Eggpicnic and Outer Island (Designers)
They have each created a small series of works for GOST.
Think circus friends, Birdman, coral sculptures, embroidery brooches, cushions, bird art prints, bird and floral cards, abstract painting, baubles and bells and so much more.
The show will be open 5 days a week, 11-4 and by appointment*. It opens 31 October to the public and continues till 20 December.
If you can’t make it during the hours, contact Anne who can organise a time before or 11am or after 4pm. I can open for anyone who needs a quiet space, no music, low lights and be sensory friendly.
*The gallery will be closed inclusive 13-20 Nov
for a special occasion.
Lego Fandom! | Alex and Jackson
It’s not everyday you have Lego fandom! Thanks to VisitCanberra, Alex Towler and Jackson Harvey for including me in their guide to what’s small in Canberra. We had so much fun when they popped in talking all things art, the Relics exhibition (now on at Canberra Museum and gallery) and my birds. Photo captured by VC’s fabulous Senior social media officer Nathan and thanks to Assistant Director Cassie for reconnecting again. VC is truly one of my #1 supporters since I open Gallery of Small Things in September 2017. Happy 9th birthday to us!
