We are thrilled to welcome Madeline Young to GOST. Her colourful paintings of the Australian bush couldn’t time better with the change of seasons. She has captured the end of Winter to early shoots of Spring. We certainly need pops of colour and love that Madi has created 5 new works especially for GOST. I first met Madi last year when she visited Canberra. Luckily, she had a GOST flyer and popped in to say hello. We’ve become firm friends since. Its rare to meet another artist and gallery owner that gets what you do. Running a small business has its lows and highs but we both love what we do so well - being artists and looking after artists to shine. I’m feeling a little starry eyed as I was featured in the Good Weekend Magazine, 3 -4 October. Frances Mocnik compiled and photographed a fabulous artisanal gift guide showcasing creatives in the arts. The magazine has given our industry a much needed boost as it’s been a tough time for all artists and arts related businesses. But we are optimistic about the future and more determined now than ever to bring the best of the visual arts to you, the community and beyond.

GOST goes to Orange again!
The Corner Store Gallery in Orange has kindly asked me to deliver my Business Basics for Artists Workshops again. It was a success last year and rewarding to see the participants shine in their arts practice. This year the workshop has an extra day added. Day One focuses on sparking your CV, pricing your artwork & social media. Day Two looks at engaging your website, approaching galleries and residencies, grants and awards. Day Three offers two new workshops - writing artist statements and bios and branding you. These classes are limited to 6 participants each day to ensure all needs are met.

Christmas Season at GOST
Yes, it’s that time of year when shops put out the decorations & we feel it’s too soon. We highly recommend you start your Christmas shopping soon. Australia Post is under enormous pressure to deliver & Christmas no doubt will be doubly busy. We are receiving new works from our artists & our Christmas campaign will begin in a few weeks time. Please be aware that we have limited works as each artwork is bespoke & will sell quickly, Anne xx
