Gallery of Small Things (GOST) is hosting its 4th show for 2026 with new artworks from returning artist Amanda Westley, an indigenous artist based in Victor Harbor, South Australia.
Anne Masters, Director of GOST invited Amanda (a former GOST stable artist) to exhibit at her gallery to celebrate a one year event in May 2025. She explains,
Amanda’s artwork Raukkan (Meeting Place) was purchased by the Australian Government from our gallery . Unbeknown to both of us, it was gifted to Pope Leo XIV by the Australian Prime Minister.
I thought it would be special to have Amanda’s first solo in Canberra celebrating this significant achievement. Amanda was thrilled to be asked,
I’ve never been to Canberra and I’d love to have a solo with you. I can’t wait to see my small (and big) paintings in your space and share my cultural connections of my Ruwi (Country).
We have a small, bespoke collection of 9 paintings including new works not seen before at GOST: Ku:ti (pipis), Nanggi Yarluwar (Sun & Sea) and Pronkinyeri (Spring).
The show is open physically to the public 11am, 23 April. It runs Thursdays to Mondays between 11am and 5pm. The show concludes continues 5pm, Monday 4 May 2026.
Keep an eye out for a button below where the catalogue will go live at 11am, Thursday 23 April.
