I am interested in relationship to place and the details, colors and textures that render a sense of familiarity. I engage with my surroundings by use of the printing process, responding to found objects by retaining the information of the textures and materiality. I draw and print as a means to visually dissect, separating into components of form, tone, texture and line and recreating abstract fields. I have a keen interest in art history and conservation and an eagerness to gain knowledge and experience in all areas of contemporary art and design. My work is primarily based in drawing and Intaglio etching however I am experienced in lithography, screen printing, textile printing, woodblock and operating digital ink jet printing. My work often spans mediums into photography, ceramics and soft sculpture.
