Portugal | simply beautiful in every way

Hello everyone, as you know from our last GOST news in August, I was in Spain beginning a life long dream to visit this country alongside Portugal. Since then, we have visited a range of places, climbed many steps, seen a lot of churches, cathedrals and castles. In between we’ve eaten the best food ever … dare I say it - but even better than Spain. While we had some standout meals in Spain, we felt Portugal was consistently good across the board. Plus better value. This is just my personal view and you may think the opposite.

I have written a travel blog on Portugal which can be read here. I tell you about hidden gems, where to eat, up to date travel tips and a few photos to entice you on your next travel destination - cities/towns where the Portuguese people are incredibly friendly.. Our fabulous Travel Agent Maria from Maria Slater Travel organised our Spain/Portugal trip and she’s just the best! Remember, travelling is an adventure and will throw you lots of curveballs. It’s meant to be fun, unexpected and a joy. I am incredibly grateful to be able to do this.

Reopening physically 18 September 2025

I plan to open the doors physically on Thursday 18 September for new and loyal visitors to see our wonderful space. I do miss the gallery and my job. Looking foward to up and coming shows to wrap up 2025. Anne xx

PS photo of me in perhaps my most favourite gallery in Spain - MUDE Museu Design Lisboa. I lucked in with a fantastic Vivienne Westwood exhibition held in the bank vault on the lower ground! Then I got to explore floor after floor of costumes, furniture, objects, design and rooftop views of Lisboa (Lisbon).
