Shipping & Returns
Most of the artworks in the gallery shop are one-offs. Purchasing an artist’s work makes you feel pretty good knowing you have an original work for your home or work space.
Some of our artists make small production runs which means you can buy this item as a regular item. However, we like to point out that each artwork has it’s unique marks so your purchase may vary from the image on the site.
Be rest assured that our designers and makers put the same amount of love and attention into each work they create. We strive for individuality and to minimise ‘mass production’.
GOST believes in repurposing all received packaging items from its suppliers (ie. foam bubbles, bubble wrap, card) so that we adopt a reuse solution rather than buy new. However, we have to be practical too, so while the inside packaging is repurposed, the box will be brand new to assist the handling by our shipping provider. We have sourced a local provider who will assist us to find the right box for your artwork.
We wrap all works in white tissue paper and repurposed bubble wrap. We don’t have any branding packaging as we are trying to minimise our impact on the environment and focus on the little things that matter. Each purchased artwork comes with a little artist statement. So, you get to find out more about the artist and start building your art collection with your provenance!
Shipping & Delivery
Orders within Australia* are packaged onsite at Gallery of small things by the Director as she cares about each artwork heading to a new home. In addition to using Australia Post, we are trialling a shipping company Sendle as they are ‘Australia’s first 100% carbon neutral delivery service and certified B Corporation, helping small businesses succeed everywhere’. This is important for GOST who believes in supporting and collaborating with local businesses.
*At this stage, GOST is unable to ship items outside of Australia. But watch this space as we continue to investigate future possibilities.
GOST offers a flat rate fee of $12.90 for items up to 5 kilos. As artwork is unique and varies in size the packaging & shipping costs will vary. For items over 5 kilos and up to 25kg, the price ranges from $15.90 to $38.90. Please allow 7 days for delivery.
Live in Canberra? Then that’s even easier as you can pop into GOST and collect your purchase for free, just apply ‘GOSTCOLLECT’ at check-out! Better still, you get to experience Canberra’s smallest gallery in the cute suburb of Watson.
Returns & Exchanges Policy
At GOST, we ask you to choose carefully.
Under the Australian Consumer Law, GOST is not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:
has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
is significantly different from the sample or description
doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.
Our artworks are originals and can not be replaced. However, some production items which are regularly stocked by the artist may be exchanged pending the claim.
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase and would like an exchange, you are responsible for shipping / handling fees of the item and must do this within 14 days. Please carefully package the item in the original packaging along with your receipt. We recommend you use a reliable postage service with a tracking number.
If the item arrives to you and is faulty or broken please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will need to provide details (your order number, contact details, description of the major problem, photographic evidence, and a receipt). Again, this must be done within 14 days. We will contact you to advise you what to do next. Please hold onto the purchase in case we need you to return it. It will depend on what you have purchased and if it’s replaceable (or not) or a refund is due.
